Prof. Dr. Tancan Uysal

Prof. Dr. Tancan Uysal is an accomplished dentist and orthodontist with a remarkable academic and professional journey. He graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry in 1999, ranking first in his term. Later, he completed his doctorate at Selcuk University and served as an Assistant Professor at Erciyes University Faculty of Dentistry, eventually becoming an Associate Professor. In 2011, he became a professor at İzmir Katip Çelebi University, making him one of Turkey’s youngest professors at 34 years old. He has also lectured as a visiting professor at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Prof. Uysal is actively involved in academic and editorial boards of national and international journals, including serving as the editor of the Turkish Orthodontic Journal. Additionally, he holds significant administrative roles at various institutions. In July 2020, he shifted his focus from traditional orthodontic treatments with fixed braces to working with clear aligner systems. Within a short period, he achieved impressive success with over 1500 patients treated using Invisalign clear aligners.
