He was born in 1968 in Izmir. He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. Having completed his compulsory service in Aksaray in 1993-94, Prof. Dr. Mübin Hoşnuter specialized in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine between 1994-2000.
Having started as an assistant professor at Zonguldak Karaelmas (Bülent Ecevit) University in 2000, Dr. Hoşnuter continued his career by getting the title of Associate Professor at the same university. He deepened his studies on this subject by obtaining a minor specialization certificate in Hand Surgery in 2011. In 2011, he was appointed as a lecturer to Izmir Katip Celebi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, and became a professor there. specialty certificate in 2013. Prof. Dr. Mübin Hoşnuter, who served as the Head of İKÇÜ Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department, Hand Surgery Department and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department between 2011-2016, established an 11-bed chronic wound care center within the university. Here, qualified service was provided mainly in the care of diabetic foot, venous ulcers and bedsores.
Throughout his career, Dr. HoÅŸnuter has been involved in scientific and administrative activities such as student education, assistant training, project management, managerial duties within the university, as well as patient treatment.
Dr. HoÅŸnuter, who has won first place and other degree awards in plastic surgery specialist competitions, has 67 articles published in international journals (see Pubmed.com), 46 articles published in national scientific journals, and nearly 100 papers presented in scientific congresses. The number of citations to his articles was 1023 as of 2017.
Special areas of interest: Aesthetic surgery (face rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, face lift, breast surgery, body contouring, liposuction, abdominoplasty, non-surgical aesthetic interventions, fillers, botox…), congenital surgery (cleft lip and palate, hypospadias, syndactyly, polydactyly), hand surgery, reconstructive surgery (post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, head and neck cancer surgery, flap graft repairs), chronic wound care and surgery (diabetic foot, bed sores, varicose ulcers), maxillofacial surgery (facial bone fractures), orthognathic surgery (jaw advancement-recession, shape) disorders…), microsurgery.
